BBC World Service: The Arts Hour

Nikki Bedi goes backstage at BST Hyde Park music festival to find out how the performers get ready before going on stage

The BST was enormous fun even if quite a challenge to get through the throngs of people (approx. 60,000) there on a very hot day in July. Having shot various atmos scenes of the stages, mixing decks, people and performers it was time to return to the media area to set up for the main interviews.  Shot on my new Canon C200 with my trusty b-camera, my Canon 1dx Mk2.

We had interviews with DNCE, Naomi Scott, Charlie Wilson, Trombone Shorty and Alex Hepburn.  Here’s one of the videos; just click on the link:

The World Service are beginning to feature more and more corresponding vide on their social media feeds drawing in huge global audiences. An excellent idea.
